We also offer a range of extra lens coatings to ensure your prescription glasses last longer.

Standard Hard Clear Coating (HCC)

Premium lenses require superior coating

HCC is Nikon's base hydrophobic anti-reflective coating that provides excellent scratch resistance. Like all of the AR coated lenses, the HCC coating provides superior UV protection, which has been proven to have detrimental effects on the eyes and can lead to cataracts and weakening of the cornea.

The next generation of lens coating

All of our lenses are now available with Nikon's HCC ikon, a remarkably sophisticated coating that leaves your lenses cleaner, tougher and clearer than ever before.

The unique structure of HCC ikon causes oil and water deposits to bead and form droplets upon contact with your prescription lenses, rather than spread out. The incredibly smooth surface of teh HCC ikon coating then allows these droplets to simply slide away, rather than remaining on the lens and impairing your vision.

The HCC ikon coating makes your prescription lenses appear non-existent, allowing people to see your eyes rather than your lenses.

Seecoat- Premium Coating, Clear Protection Technology

SeeCoat is Leightons' new super premium anti-refection coating providing our highest scratch resistance to date. SeeCoat super hydrophobic coating is easier to clean and lasts two times longer than super hydrophobic coatings. Thanks to Nikon light control technology, SeeCoat reduces red refractive colour by 42%.

Clear

Nikon SeeCoat controls light that comes from every angle, which allows significant improvement in prescription lens performance. The red colour in the periphery of the lens is minimized, providing a more natural look.

Clean

Nikon SeeCoat contains water repellent coating that allows high resistantce to fingerprints and dirt, making it exceptionally easy to clean. SeeCoat can stay clean for 2 times as long compared to the conventional super hydrophobic coating, making it much easier to clean over a long period.

Tough

Our SeeCoat coated prescription lenses use proprietary and unique technology to provide the world's highest level of scratch resistance, thus ensuring the clearest possible vision at all times. Based on durability tests, Nikon SeeCoat has proven to be 2 times more resistant to scratches compared to conventionally coated lenses. Nikon SeeCoat protects lenses from all types of scratches.
