It is not recommended to use "Ready Readers" for long periods as
eye strain and headaches are a common side effect, they do however work well
as an emergency back-up.
Ready Readers are as they suggest and just meant for help with close work
not long distance, but will only help if your long distance vision is good.
Unlike off the peg Ready Readers that you can buy, Prescription Reading Spectacles
are more than just a set of magnifying lenses set into a frame. Most people's
eyes vary slightly between the right and the left. Prescription Reading Spectacles
are individual to each eye, with the optical centre of the lenses set up in
just the right place to avoid eyestrain and/or double vision and to obtain
the best vision for each eye.
When you come in for your eye test we will ask about your lifestyle and hobbies so that we can ensure the perfect setup for you.
